The ocean has given me some of the most unforgettable moments of my life.
Swimming alongside whale sharks in South Ari Atoll. Being surrounded by manta rays in Hanifaru Bay. Waking up to dolphins while sailing through the Maldivian atolls.
But alongside all that beauty, I also witnessed something else: plastic washed onto beaches, floating debris in lagoons, and traces of human impact in places that should feel untouched.
